Speaker Notes

When preparing for a longer recording session, you might find it helpful to create notes for yourself. Screen Studio allows you to prepare such notes, which act as a discreet, personal teleprompter. The text you enter in speaker notes will be visible only to you and will not be included in your recording or the exported file.

How to Open Speaker Notes?

  1. Begin by launching Screen Studio. You can access speaker notes from the recording modal.
  2. Click on the settings icon located on the right side of the recording modal.
  3. From the settings menu, select Show Speaker Notes.

Adjusting Your Notes

To begin, simply click on Start Prompter or use the keyboard shortcut ⌘⌥. This will activate the prompter, allowing you to view your notes as you're recording.

  1. Control the scrolling speed of your notes to match your speaking pace.
  2. Modify the opacity of the notepad to ensure that it is visible without being distracting.
  3. Increase or decrease the font size for better readability based on your preferences.

To make these adjustments, click on Settings located in the upper right corner of the pop-out window containing your speaker notes.
